I want to tell you about this here Substack, a brief introduction if you will.
It’s named WANT TO TELL YOU, quite simply because that’s what I plan to do: share things I’ve found worth my time and you might find worth yours. Among these things would of course be books and among those books I’m especially keen to draw attention to those from indie and upcoming authors, books from smaller presses and imprints, but, also, forgotten writers and works. Good gear, some might say.
Besides recommending books and writers, I may share some thoughts (or gripes) on language, punctuation—writing generally, and, when opportune, a little about me and my own work. I’m sure there will be other things as this evolves, but I’ll keep it both literature-based and casual. Nothing here will be particularly academic or definitive. (I loathe those who speak in absolutes on opinion-based matters.) And I welcome discussion, provided you are not a tw*t.
I plan to post fortnightly, or thereabouts—we'll see how it goes.
